first_imgNeil McGee is currently preparing Down Under for Ireland’s clash against Australia on Saturday in Sydney.Donegal star Neil McGee says he’ll continue to board the gravy train as it won’t last forever.The towering full-back enjoyed another superb season for Donegal and picked up his third All-Star.McGee is currently in Australia where he’s preparing for Ireland’s one off test against Australia in the International Rules Series in Sydney on Saturday. It’s McGee’s third series and he’s had to take time off work to head Down Under.However, when McGee returns he’ll be heading straight off to Boston for the All-Stars tour, meaning he’ll be away in total for over three weeks.McGee who is employed as a roofer, says his boss is very understanding and the fact he’s a big GAA man helps.McGee told The Irish Daily Star, “In fairness the fella I work for is very good. “He’s a big GAA man, and that’s half the battle, you can’t really refuse it.“Somebody said to me the gravy train will stop some day so make the most of it while you can.”McGee won’t have much of an off-season break as he’ll be straight back into training with new Donegal manager Rory Gallagher in the New Year.However, McGee says he’ll keep himself ticking over during the festivities.McGee said, “I keep the weights going all year, I just do a wee bit, you put on weight at Christmas, that is only natural.
